Material Control Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

Position consisting of data entry, verifying accuracy of materials information on spool sheets & items entered 

into computer system, addressing spool drawing or material issues with other departments, maintain filing system, 

copying, and scanning.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Confirm accuracy of material information on spool drawings

• Input material line items into JDE system

• Release spools to production when all material line items are available

• Issue Work orders when required

• Address material shorts daily

• Check/update weight and surface area fields on spool sheets

• Maintain filing system

• Assist with material reconciliations at job closeouts

• Requisition material shorts as needed

• Update statuses in JDE as needed

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: 

- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED); Preferred 

Experience: 

- 2-3 years of experience in pipe fabrication field 

Computer Skills: 

- Experience with Microsoft Office and JD Edwards 

Certifications & Licenses:

- None specifically required 

Other Requirements: Knowledge of piping materials (visual and descriptions)
